How it works
Five steps, at your own pace. No endless swiping, and no messages from people you haven't accepted.
Verify your identity. A government ID and a short selfie video. A real person on our team reviews them — usually within 24 hours — and until you are approved, nobody can see you at all.
Build your profile. The basics that actually matter for marriage: where you live, your faith, and what you are looking for. Your photos stay under your control — you can keep them hidden until you choose otherwise.
Considered daily suggestions. Each day we suggest people who fit what you are looking for, and every suggestion comes with plain reasons — like “same city” or “similar marriage timeline”. No percentages, no scores.
An explicit request first. Interested in someone? Send a request. Nobody can message you out of the blue.
Chat after you both agree. When both sides accept, the conversation opens — and we hide phone numbers and contact details early on (they appear normally after 100 messages).

Each community, its own path
El Nos El Tany is one platform, but matching happens inside the same faith community: Muslims are shown to Muslims, and Christians to Christians. There is no default mixing between the two.

Faith is sensitive data — we collect it in the app with your explicit consent, and use it only to match within the same community. We have no affiliation with, or endorsement from, any religious or government body.
Safety is the foundation, not a feature
- Human verification for every member. A government ID plus a selfie video, reviewed by a real team — usually within 24 hours. Your profile is not visible to anyone before approval.
- Verification media is deleted. ID photos and the selfie video are permanently deleted 30 days after the decision — only the decision record remains, with no media.
- Your photos, your control. You can keep your photos hidden, and see exactly how your profile will look to others before you publish it.
- No surprise messages. A conversation starts only when both sides accept an explicit request — and contact details are hidden at the start.
- Block and report everywhere. You can block or report any member at any time, and child-safety reports follow an urgent path that is reviewed first.
- Human moderation. Conversations are private between you and the other person — the team reviews them only after a report or for authorised safety handling.

Questions people ask
Does the app cost anything?
During the beta the app is completely free — for women and for men. There are no subscriptions, no coins, and no paid features needed to send a message. If that changes after the beta, we will say so clearly and well in advance.
You take a photo of my ID — what happens to it?
Verification media (both ID photos and the selfie video) is seen by authorized reviewers for verification only, and is permanently deleted 30 days after the approval or rejection decision. The decision record remains, without any media. Details are in the privacy policy.
How long does the review take?
A real person reviews every account — usually within 24 hours. It can take a little longer when the team is busy, and we notify you as soon as there is a decision.
Who sees my profile and my photos?
Verified members only — and nobody sees you before your profile becomes visible after verification. You can keep your photos hidden until you choose otherwise, and the “hide from my contacts” feature stops people who have your number from seeing you at all.
I'm under 18 — can I sign up?
No. The service is for adults only — 18 and over — and age is checked both from your date of birth and from your identity document. Any account found to belong to a minor is removed. Read our child-safety standards.
What if I want my data deleted?
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app; deletion is permanent and covers your profile, photos and conversations. For the waitlist, every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that removes your details from the list immediately and permanently.
What if someone harasses me?
You can block any member — they disappear from your view and your profile disappears from theirs — and report them without them being told. Reports are reviewed by the moderation team, and child-safety reports follow an urgent path. To reach us directly: [email protected].
